BEAUTIFUL. ABUNDANT. LOCAL. BREATHTAKING.
My head is constantly filled with ideas. Ask my husband. It drives him crazy. But he loves me anyway.
I am a lover of all things beautiful. I am a social butterfly. I love meeting new people. I also love the outdoors and adventure. I always have a million things going on. So it only makes sense that I would dream up building a flower farm on our family property during the middle of a worldwide pandemic.
I am so grateful to be surrounded by family that supports me in my wild ideas. You see, in 2020, the world basically shut down when faced with the Covid pandemic. Typically, my days are filled traveling the United States working for a large energy company. My weekends and evenings are filled with children’s sports, chores, and birthday parties. If I’m being honest, it is exhausting and balancing it all isn’t my strong suit as I have never been good at saying no.
But while the world was in crisis mode, I chose to stop and smell the flowers. Literally. It gave me time to slow down and get back outdoors. I found myself pouring hours into researching and learning about various beautiful flower varieties. It gave me hope. It filled by mind with beauty. It was exhilarating to learn something new while creating something absolutely breathtaking.
The Flower Farm at Roy Crest Farms was born. Now, I can’t wait to share it with all you as it grows.
